Forget Me Not Appeal

This June everyone in Halton is encouraged to do something outrageous for Halton Haven’s annual Forget Me Not Appeal to raise vital funds and enjoy themselves whilst doing it.
The hospice is hoping that the community will once again ‘Turn purple’ (the hospice colour), or for this year only ‘Go Neon’ in celebration of their 40th anniversary, organising their own themed fundraising activities to raise money for them.
There are so many things you can do to support your local hospice; bake sale, brave the shave, pub quiz, dye your hair, the things you can do to raise funds are endless.
We are reaching out to our amazing community in the hope that they will get involved with the Forget Me Not Appeal and think up some creative ideas to raise much needed funds for our beloved Haven.”
The Mersey Gateway bridge will be lit purple on Saturday 1st June to launch the appeal.
The hospice has a donation code to make offering your support easy. Text FORGETMENOT to 70450 to donate £5. (Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message, and you will be opting in to hear more from Halton Haven Hospice. If you would like to donate but don’t wish to hear from the hospice, please text FORGETMENOTNOINFO instead.)
To celebrate the Hospice’s ruby anniversary, Halton Haven have ruby Forget-Me-Not pin badges for sale which will be available to buy from the Hospice Reception, the Halton Haven Hospice shop on Queens Avenue, Widnes and at various businesses across the area.
In addition, Halton Haven have introduced exclusive Ruby Roses for supporters to purchase. The roses are forged from stainless steel and stand 48cm tall and measure 10cm across.
For a minimum donation of £26, you can dedicate a rose in the memory of someone special.
The Roses will be planted as a display by hospice volunteers in the Forget-You-Not Garden at Walton Gardens and will be available to view from Saturday 8th June until Sunday 30 June.
Once the display has ended, pre ordered roses will be available to collect from Monday 8th July from the Hospice Reception, or you can arrange to have it posted to you at an additional cost.
