I am married to Jonathan, and we have three children. I am a Director of a digital marketing agency based in Sutton Weaver, Runcorn. I ran my own acupuncture clinic in Northwich for over a decade.

I am married to Jonathan, and we have three children. I am a Director of a digital marketing agency based in Sutton Weaver, Runcorn. I ran my own acupuncture clinic in Northwich for over a decade.

I have previously been a Parish councillor for almost ten years, and a Special Constable for Cheshire Constabulary. Many of my shifts were walking the beat in Runcorn or Widnes so I know the area well. In 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer whilst working with another local hospice. I know at first hand the incredible work hospice staff do, so when I was asked to join and support the Hospice as a Trustee I couldn’t say no.

I became involved with the Hospice after the death of my wife Angela in Halton Haven in 2004. Although she was initially frightened of going to a Hospice, after a couple of days she said, “I am in the best place”.

The care and compassion that she and the family received during those final few days still moves me greatly. I consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to support this very fine establishment as do all my family.

Other interests include being a member of Widnes Rotary Club, a Liveryman in the City of London and a magistrate for 39 years, retiring under the age rule at 70.

My career was within the science sector and I became a scientist responsible for health and safety within the hospice. My main role on the board is to provide support with fundraising and financial matters.

My mother passed away at the hospice, but the care she received was excellent. My role on the board of trustees is an opportunity for me to give back to the hospice and the community it serves.

I am a Chartered Accountant and have previously worked in practice, in industry, in further education and in a number of Hospices in the North West.

I love working in Hospices because they offer such a compassionate and vital service to patients and their families at their most vulnerable time. I grew up in Yorkshire but have lived in Warrington for many years. I am married to Neil and we have two grown up children. My hobbies include weight training, yoga, reading and walking.

I have been a nurse for forty years and took a career break whilst my two daughter were little. I have worked in many different fields of nursing.

I joined Halton Haven Hospice 11 years ago initially as Register Manager and Head of Clinical Sciences. I then became Director of Care and Operational Services and then six years ago I was promoted to CEO.

I am from Halton and have lived in Widnes nearly all of my life. I am very passionate about palliative care and The Hospice is very close to my heart.

Being a cancer survivor myself, I truly understand how difficult it is to hear the diagnosis, even harder to manage treatment and keep family hopeful. The Hospice is a very special place, supporting and nurturing individuals through life-limiting conditions leading to end of life care. I am proud to be part of such a committed team.

I retired in 2013 after working for more than 40 years in the caring profession, including managing care homes, inspection, complaints investigation and adult safeguarding. I worked in Halton, Warrington, Cheshire and Wirral.

I was a trustee of the hospice from 2016-21, at which point I resigned due to commitments at home, caring for my partner who has Alzheimer’s. I have recently been reappointed and feel privileged to be part of this valued service once again.

I live in Frodsham. My interests include gardening, walking, reading and music.

I am a Registered Nurse with 23 years experience caring for people across Primary Care, Care Home, Hospital & Hospice Care Settings. With a strong background in Palliative and End of Life Care, I have a keen interest for improving standards and strive to achieve high quality, equitable care.

I have been in my current role since September 2023 and relish in the daily challenges the role brings. I am a wife and mum to two energetic boys who keep me on my toes! Spending weekends with my family and recharging my batteries, forever trying to achieve a good work life balance.

I support the hospice because I see caring for patients in their last months, weeks and days of life a privilege. Providing care and support for patients’ and their family members at a time when there seems very little hope takes courage and dedication, I see this daily within the hospice, and I am proud to work as part of such a caring team.

I am a Solicitor at Butcher & Barlow LLP, based at the Runcorn and Sutton Weaver offices. I specialise in private client law, in which I assist clients navigate the complexities of estate planning, as well as helping them to plan for the future with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Within my area of law, clients regularly commend the great work undertaken by Halton Haven Hospice. This is also particularly prevalent when assisting bereaved families navigate the probate process following the death of a loved one.

I am a clinical nurse advisor in the field of urology, and I work for a company looking after patients in the North West where I carry out virtual clinics and face-to-face appointments. I also conduct training both within my own company and for external organisations.

My nursing background is in palliative care and I have worked at Marie Curie and Halton Haven Hospice. I have carried out fundraising events for both hospices.

I was delighted to be invited to be a trustee and it is a great privilege to be supporting the hospice as it moves forward into the future.

I live in Liverpool with my cat Sheba and dog, Winston and I have a son called Luke who lives in Brighton.

Our trustees are responsible for ensuring that Halton Haven Hospice is well-governed and has a strategic vision. They play important roles as ambassadors and advocates for the Hospice.
