Board of Trustees

Our trustees are responsible for ensuring that Halton Haven Hospice is well-governed and has a strategic vision. They play important roles as ambassadors and advocates for the Hospice.

I am married to Jonathan, and we have three children. I am a Director of a digital marketing agency based in Sutton Weaver, Runcorn. I ran my own acupuncture clinic in Northwich for over a decade.

I became involved with the Hospice after the death of my wife Angela in Halton Haven in 2004. Although she was initially frightened of going to a Hospice, after a couple of days she said, “I am in the best place”.

“My role on the board of trustees is an opportunity for me to give back to the hospice and the community it serves.”

My career was within the science sector and I became a scientist responsible for health and safety within the hospice. My main role on the board is to provide support with fundraising and financial matters.

I retired in 2013 after working for more than 40 years in the caring profession, including managing care homes, inspection, complaints investigation and adult safeguarding. I worked in Halton, Warrington, Cheshire and Wirral.

I am a Registered Nurse with 23 years experience caring for people across Primary Care, Care Home, Hospital & Hospice Care Settings. With a strong background in Palliative and End of Life Care, I have a keen interest for improving standards and strive to achieve high quality, equitable care.

Dr Felton is a GP at Castlefields Health Centre in Runcorn and Medical Officer at Halton Haven Hospice. He lives in Frodsham.

I am a Solicitor at Butcher & Barlow LLP, based at the Runcorn and Sutton Weaver offices. I specialise in private client law, in which I assist clients navigate the complexities of estate planning, as well as helping them to plan for the future with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

I am a clinical nurse advisor in the field of urology, and I work for a company looking after patients in the North West where I carry out virtual clinics and face-to-face appointments. I also conduct training both within my own company and for external organisations.
