Halton Haven Hospice, has been located at its site since 1981, and provides specialist palliative care to people from Halton and surrounding areas who are living with terminal conditions. The specialist palliative care we provide focuses on supporting patients physically, psychologically, and emotionally to enable them to carry on living the lives they want to live for as long as possible.
The Hospice includes an In-Patient Unit (IPU) for palliative and end-of-life care, and a Day Hospice Clinic delivering support, treatment, assessment, rehabilitation, and therapy for people living with a life-limiting diagnosis. We also have a Community Cabin, a woodland trail, and extensive gardens for the benefit of our patients, families, and local community.
We are not part of the NHS, although we do receive some funding from them, we are a registered charity and our funding comes from our community through donations, fundraising events, our weekly lottery, and legacies left by supporters in their wills.
It’s amazing to think that our patients are cared for by community donations. Without this we wouldn’t be here to care for those who need us.
A warm Safe Bubble – That’s what the Hospice is to me
