The Hospice is delighted to announce that we have planned a fantastic year of events for 2024-2025 in honour of our Ruby year!
2024 marks 40 years of Halton Haven Hospice, an incredible achievement and one that we are incredibly proud of. To celebrate, we have a whole host of new and exciting fundraising activities planned (as well as our much loved annual favourites!) and we hope that there will be something for everyone to get involved!
As we approach our Forget Me Not Appeal in June, this year we present our exclusive commemorative Ruby roses. These stunning handmade roses have been crafted by the Black Country Metal Works especially for Halton Haven Hospice. 250 roses will form a stunning temporary installation at Walton Gardens throughout the month of June, but you will need to buy your rose ahead of the display!
On the eve of our official anniversary month, Saturday 31st August will see the return of our annual butterfly release, which for this year only will be followed by an extra special Summer party, held in the Hospice grounds. An opportunity for our Haven family to join together to celebrate, with live music, food and an outside bar!
Or something for the thrill seekers…are you brave enough to join our team of Halton Haven Warriors and take on a once in a lifetime challenge? Shark Dives will take place on the 31st August, Abseil Liverpool Cathedral on the 7th September and Skydives on any date or location of your choice. Raising vital funds for your local hospice couldn’t be more exciting!
As the year comes to a close, mark the beginning of the festive season on Friday 6th December at our annual Light up a Life remembrance service and get in the Christmas spirit with our family favourite, Santa Dash, which returns on Sunday 15th December.
We hope to see you at some of our events this year and to be given the opportunity to thank you and the rest of our community in helping us reach this milestone! Your support enables us to carry on providing amazing, person centred care to local people, their families and friends – Here’s to another 40 years!
