Please check our easy guide opposite to see what we can and cannot accept. Please feel free to get in touch if you’re not sure about any items.
Please remember that all donations must be clean and of saleable quality. If you wouldn’t buy it then we probably won’t be able to sell it. The better the quality, the easier it will be to sell and the more we can raise to support your Hospice.
We adhere to current regulations by only selling CE marked toys, furniture with fire labels and we also PAT test our electricals.
If you are a UK tax payer we can increase the value of your donated goods through the Government’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that everything that we sell which falls under that scheme is worth an extra 25% to us. In real terms that means if we sell an item for £5 we can claim an extra £1.25 from the Government and it costs you nothing extra. The extra money helps us to support the people in our community who need the Hospice’s services and it means that we can continue to offer those services free of charge.
When you donate items we will ask you to complete a Gift Aid form. If you are eligible to take part in this scheme please take an extra 5 minutes to complete it. You will be issued with a donor number which you can produce each time you donate and you will only have to fill the form in once. Please help us to help our community.
