Twilight Memory Walk 2026

Event Overview

Previously known as ‘Twilight Walk’, Twilight Memory Walk is back once again in 2026 on the 12th of September. This 10km walk is a great chance for individuals and families to remember loved ones, as well as a chance to meet others, come together as a community, have a laugh, and a boogie!

2026 Twilight Memory walk features the usual iconic moments, like starting in the DCBL Stadium or warming up to some up beat tunes, but we are also hoping to add some new elements to the walk this year – giving you more moments to remember loved ones throughout the walk.

We hope you can join us in walking for those who walk beside our hearts and together, make a difference in their memory.

Why should you join Twilight Memory Walk 2026?

Halton Haven Hospice Memory Walk is an opportunity to remember loved ones and make a difference in their memory. This year we are saying ‘Walking for those who walk beside our hearts – together making a difference.’ It is a great chance to get together as a community, gives you space to talk, reflect and remember memories, or simply have a chat and a laugh with your friends and family. Although this is a memory walk, we encourage people to get dressed up, have a laugh and a boogie along the way – making it a great event for the whole family.

The ticket profits and fundraising donations go towards ensuring that Halton Haven Hospice can continue providing the best palliative and end-of-life care in our community. Every year we need to raise an additional £1.5 million to bridge the gap between the funding we receive, and the care those within our community deserve. This is not possible without the incredible support and generosity of our community at events such as this one, and every participant whether they take part or fundraise as well, is helping to make a difference.

We look forward to meeting previous walkers and new on the 12th of September. Together, we can make a difference. If you have any questions regarding Twilight Memory Walk 2026 email fundraising@haltonhaven.co.uk or call 01928 712 728.

2026 FAQs

If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, please contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

01

Is the walk accessible?

The route has been selected to provide a safe, accessible and clearly identifiable course, supported by stewards at key locations. The event aims to be inclusive and welcomes participants with disabilities or additional access requirements. Reasonable adjustments will be made wherever practicable to support safe participation. If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact our team before the event so we can answer any questions or put something in place to support you on the day.

02

What if I can’t finish the 10km walk?

Ten Lock Flight in Runcorn marks the half way point of our walk. Here you will find refreshments, toilets and places you can take a break. If you feel unable to carry on, Anthony’s Travel is running a free shuttle bus from here back to the stadium starting/finishing point.

03

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome to join for the majority of the walk. Dogs will not be able to enter the stadium and it is up to the discretion of other venue holders regrading dogs on their premises. We ask that anyone bringing pets ensures they are well behaved when around crowds and that owners ensure no dog foul is left along the route.

04

How do I get my T-shirt?

You will receive an email when T-shirts are ready to collect from the Hospice in Runcorn, stating dates, times and locations of collections. We do encourage you to pick these up before the event however, you can also pick your T-shirt up during registration on the day.
