As Councillor Pamela Wallace officially starts her term as the Mayor of Halton, we are excited to announce that Halton Haven Hospice has been chosen as one of the charities she wishes to support this year, alongside Fortuna Female Society.
“I have chosen Halton Haven Hospice as one of my charities this year because, throughout the years in my personal life and work as a ward Councillor, I have always been aware of the remarkable and important work the Hospice carries out within Halton. The Hospice has touched so many families with its compassion, dignity and unwavering care, and it stands as a vital source of comfort and support for our community. It is a privilege to champion their work during my Mayoral year”. – Mayor of Halton, Councillor Pamela Wallace
On Wednesday, our team were invited to a special installation ceremony at Runcorn Town Hall, where Cllr Pamela Wallace officially began her year of office. We are really excited for what the next twelve months will bring and are grateful to receive this support with Karen Allen, Chief Executive Officer at Halton Haven Hospice saying:
“I am incredibly proud and deeply grateful that we have been chosen as one of the Mayor’s Charities for 2026. This recognition means so much to everyone connected to our organisation, our patients, families, staff, volunteers, and supporters. We are truly honoured to work alongside the Mayor throughout the year ahead and would like to sincerely thank them for believing in our mission and helping raise awareness of the care and comfort Halton Haven provides. Every day, we see the difference that compassionate hospice care makes during some of life’s most challenging moments, and partnerships like this help us continue providing that vital support across our community. Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference to the lives of local people and their loved ones.”
