New Year Raffle Terms and Conditions

The net proceeds from the raffle are used for the charitable objects of Halton Haven Hospice. Licensed by Halton Council, Small Lottery Licence (SL0187). This raffle is only available to residents of GB. You must be 18 or over to enter. Underage gambling is an offence. Winners will be notified by phone, post or email.

- The raffle is open to all UK residents over the age of 18, except employees and volunteers of Halton Haven Hospice (the charity) who are directly involved with the raffle, and other companies directly involved in the running of the raffle.
- Tickets cost £2 each. There will be no discount or offers provided in the sale of tickets.
- Participation in the raffle can be made by returning ticket stubs in the post with appropriate payment (cheque payable to ‘Halton Haven Hospice’ or cash).
- Tickets can also be bought online via debit card on People’s Fundraising at https://www.peoplesfundraising.com/raffle/haltonhavenNY . Your personal data will be used by Peoples Fundraising to process your donation, and for other purposes described in their Privacy Policy: https://www.peoplesfundraising.com/privacy. We are unable to accept credit card payments for raffle ticket purchases.Â
- No tickets will be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize and the entry money will be returned to them.
- Ticket stubs and payment need to be with the charity by Saturday 28th February 2026, ahead of the draw on Friday 6th March 2026.
- We reserve the right to close the draw early if maximum ticket sale numbers are reached.
- Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw only when the whole payment is received.
- Tickets received after Saturday 28th February 2026 will not be entered into the draw and payment will be treated as a donation to the charity.
- Please keep the ticket or allocated number(s) as proof of purchase.
- The charity accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, stolen, damaged or illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
- Raffle tickets will be drawn randomly – either physically and witnessed by two people, or online using a fair and unbiased computerised draw system. Anyone who has entered the draw will not be permitted to draw the prize-winning tickets. 
- All tickets and payments are processed by the Fundraising team (staff and volunteers) in a locked office, which is only accessible by members of staff, at Halton Haven Hospice, Barnfield Avenue, Murdishaw, Runcorn, WA7 6EP.
- The prizes are: 1st prize 2x tickets to Greg Davies tour in Liverpool on 25th March 2026, 2nd prize a Galaxy Tab, 3rd prize an overnight stay at Lady Heyes Holiday Park. Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the 1st prize down to the last one.
- There are no alternatives offered to the prizes published, however we reserve the right to replace any prize with another that is of equal or greater value.
- The result of the raffle draw is final.
- Where the charity is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for 14 days, the charity may apply the prize as it sees fit, including re-offering the prize in future raffles.
- All winners are required to co-operate with the charity’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested.
- In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, the organisers reserve the right to administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible the Charity will notify entrants of the error.
