International Nurses Day 2026
This International Nurses Day, we celebrate the incredible nurses who are the heart of our hospice. The theme this year is ‘Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.’
Here at Halton Haven Hospice we try and empower our nurses every day by prioritising their wellbeing, valuing their voices, and supporting their ongoing professional development. We have initiatives such as:
- Positivi‑tea provide a dedicated space for the art of reflection — a form of clinical supervision and an informal, supportive platform where nurses are guided by our resident health psychologist to explore clinical cases for learning, reflection, and emotional support.
- Protected learning time
- Strong peer and multidisciplinary support
- Opportunities for growth, our nurses are trusted and empowered as leaders in care.
By fostering a compassionate and reflective environment, we enable our nurses to continue delivering exceptional, life‑affirming care to patients and families. Our nurses and staff truly make an impact every day…
