We currently offer Mayfly Training – Specialist End of Life Care Education
At Halton Haven Hospice, we are pleased to offer Mayfly Training to other hospices, care providers, and health and social care settings across Halton, Cheshire, and Merseyside.
Mayfly Training is delivered by our experienced hospice clinical team and is designed to support staff who provide end of life care. The training focuses on practical skills, confidence-building, and compassionate care – grounded in real hospice practice.
Who the training is for?
Mayfly Training is suitable for staff working in:
- Hospices
- Care homes and nursing homes
- Community and domiciliary care services
- Supported living and specialist care settings
- The training is particularly valuable for staff who regularly support people with complex needs, frailty, or life-limiting illness.
What does the training offer?
- Build confidence in providing high-quality end of life care
- Support understanding of symptom management and comfort care
- Strengthen communication skills with patients and families
