Volunteer Receptionists

We are looking for volunteers who can regularly provide administrative assistance on our very busy reception during the week at the Hospice.  You will be the first point of contact that all visitors will meet when they enter the building, making sure that all visitors feel welcome and supported and therefore a sensitive, empathic nature is essential in this role.

General duties will include:-

  • Answering all incoming phone calls, transferring them to the appropriate department and signposting where necessary
  • Taking and receipting donations that come into the Hospice
  • Cash handling
  • Visitor interface
  • Sorting incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ensure that all staff and visitors sign in and out
  • Light admin tasks that you may be asked to do by other staff
